I have problem of hirsutism and rapid weight gain in Upper Body. I went for a Scan to gynaecologist - polycysts were found on examination. Could they contribute to some androgens being secreted in blood? One doctor told me lab values can return normal but the androgens available in my body might be too much for me. The hair is worsening on face and I’m thinking of getting on birth control too. Will birth control worsen the condition? Is there any treatment to control the hair growth medically because my laser therapist recommended I see a doctor due to poor results.
